Beyond Halloween: Spooky, Eerie, Haunted and Paranormal Travel

Published on: 21st September, 2023

In this episode of *Time to Talk Travel*, Nasreen, Ciaran and Des from HashtagTravels.com explore the growing popularity of “spooky season” extending beyond just Halloween.

A variety of ideas for haunted experiences throughout the year are shared including:

Somehow they managed to also discuss UFOs, aliens and time travel.

Cities, countries and sites with particularly haunted attractions were discussed including:

  • New Orleans
  • Salem MA
  • San Juan Capistrano
  • Galveston
  • Emily Morgan Hotel in San Antonio
  • Estonian churches
  • Savanah
  • Rose Hall, Montego Bay Jamaica

If you’re looking for a reliable ghost, head over to the Queen Mary in Long Beach. We agreed that it was definitely haunted and has developed a reputation for making visitors uneasy.

One thing not to do?

Don’t collect old family portraits from thrift stores. Inviting auras into your home isn’t advised.

Celebrate spooky year round.

Time to Talk Travel, a podcast for travel enthusiasts, was born out of a need for community. The voices and faces behind TTTT met over a decade ago while navigating online content creation. Their kids grew up together on press trips, they were online cheerleaders for each others successes, and there to provide support to online friends when times were tough. Life got busy. Something was missing - that supportive community they craved. Now they're back- a little older, much wiser, and with a wealth of travel knowledge to drop.
